city of lake forest - rebrand
Incorporated as a city in 1991, Lake Forest is currently the most densely populated city in South Orange County. The city has two artificial lakes from which the city gets its name. The 'Forest' in their name comes from eucalyptus trees that line the streets between Ridge Route, Jeronimo, Lake Forest Road, and Serrano Road. However, Lake Forest is a relatively young city and recently established a new 80-million dollar '100-year home' in the Civic Center.
In 2020, my deputy city manager tasked me with reimagining what the city of Lake Forest branding could potentially be. With the city's 30th anniversary approaching, it was an ideal time to present the community with a 30th-anniversary logo that would transition to the city's permanent logo once the year concluded.
My deputy city manager, city manager, and city council approved the project, and is now used today.
